Osteopathy

Visceral manipulations involve manual procedures aimed at the elimination of dysfunctions within inner organs. The techniques are not focused on pain and dysfunction only; they evaluate the entire body, searching for the source of the problem. The therapist perceives alterations or abnormal visceral movements as well as restricting patterns in the entire body and, then, uses appropriate techniques to bring affected organ to equilibrium. Through visceral manipulations we can regain the appropriate mobility, elasticity and tissue tension around the organ and in this way the organ receives better blood supply.

Craniosacral Therapy

In this therapy slight therapeutic touch is used to release restrictions precinct in the craniosacral system within the body, this allows our body to regulate the production as well as the ebb and flow of cerebrospinal fluid. This vital structure- craniosacral cranio system – consists of cerebrospinal fluid and the surrounding membrane system of meninges, that protect the spinal cord and brain and is connected to the skeletal system- skull bones and sacrum and to whole facial system. The Craniosacral therapy of Upledger supports and strengthens mechanisms of self-healing and, therefore, it can be applied to patients irrespective of age or condition.

Therapist: Dorota Lula, Rafał Banasiak, Tomasz Wolak

Lymphatic Drainage

Also known as lymphatic massage. It is one of the best ways to treat swelling. It is widely used in supporting treatment after a mastectomy, quadrantectomy and all kinds of lymphoedema. It is a very gentle and slow, ‘light touch’ form of manual massage based on pumping, circular and spiral shaped movements, which encourage the lymph fluid to flow more freely around the body and effectively discharge the residual lymph to the nearest lymph nodes. It  is a form of vitally effective therapy to control lymphedema.

Manual Therapy

Consists of a range of manual maneuvers It is applied directly by the therapist’s hands and no apparatus or special equipment is required. Treatment always begins with a thorough medical interview. Functional diagnostics includes the examination of the motorial functionality of joints, muscles, and the detection of areas of damage and soreness. To eliminate functional disorders in the locomotor system Manual Therapy uses specific passive techniques engaging joints and soft tissue (i.e. muscle, fascia) and active exercises performed by the patient. Treatment results in increasing mobility renewal of disturbed articular mechanisms, short and long-term pain relief, muscle tone improvement, and thus shortens convalescence time.
